The embossing machine is an important equipment for surface finishing of printed materials, paper products, plastics, and leather. It is widely used for embossing on the surface of packaging decoration, product advertising, book and magazine covers, color box tissue, invitations, and other special products. The embossing process can increase the aesthetics and decorative art effects of the product and improve the grade of the product.
1. Technical essentials of installation and debugging of embossing machine
Installation and debugging have a great impact on the service life and embossing quality of the embossing machine. The following points should be noted:
1. The base of the embossing machine should be flat and firm
If the base of the embossing machine is not firm, even if the accurate horizontal correction has been made during installation, the foundation level will inevitably vary due to machine vibration damage after a period of operation, and the machine will be tilted and unstable, thus affecting the quality of the embossed product. If the machine is placed on the bottom floor and needs to be laid, in addition to considering the weight of the machine, the dynamic load transmitted to the foundation during the operation of the machine and the hardness of the soil where the workshop is located should also be considered to prevent the base from sinking and deforming. If the bottom of the machine needs to be padded for inkjet, a steel plate with good compressive strength must be used to make the base as tight and uniform as possible, leaving no large area of ”hanging” to prevent deformation under pressure. In the process of padding and adjusting the parallelism of the machine, the roller of the machine needs to be repeatedly calibrated and balanced with a level gauge to keep the whole machine in a relatively horizontal state.
2. Do a good job of inspection before and after the trial run of the embossing machine
The trial run of the machine is an important task. Before this, carefully check whether all parts are intact, whether the screws are loose, whether the oil circuit is unobstructed (at the same time, pay attention to adding lubricating oil to all bearings, transmissions, and sliding parts), whether there is any jamming in each part, whether the micro-travel switch on the machine is reliable and sensitive, and all debris around the machine must be cleaned up. During the trial run, you should pay attention to: adjust the speedometer to the zero position, then press the start button, let the machine run empty for a period of time to run in the packaging material, and pay attention to whether the machine has any abnormal noise. After confirming that it is normal, you can officially start production to ensure production safety and stable quality.
3. Check the balance of the embossing machine regularly
Regularly check the horizontal state of the embossing machine. If the deflection is found, it should be leveled in time to avoid wear of parts and reduce the accuracy and service life of the equipment. There is a Φ20mm screw on each side of the embossing machine base. When the machine is slightly unbalanced, it can be leveled by adjusting the screws. It should be noted that the force should be even when tightening the screws. If the force is uneven, it is easy to destroy the horizontal state of the machine.
2. Correct operation and maintenance technical essentials of the machine
1. It is best to run at a low speed during trial production. After becoming familiar with the performance of the machine, the production speed can be gradually increased. This can better ensure production safety and the embossing quality of the product.
2. During operation, the correct control of temperature and pressure is very important. If it is not well controlled, accidents are likely to occur, and the machine may even be damaged. When heating for embossing shaping, the problem can be controlled according to the characteristics of the material. Generally, the temperature can be controlled between 40-90℃. Do not use ultra-high temperature for embossed three-dimensional printing to prevent the printed product from discoloring or deforming, and avoid deformation of the roller due to high temperature. The working pressure during embossing should be controlled within the range of 3-8mpa according to the thickness and density of the printed material. Do not blindly increase the pressure in pursuit of high-definition embossing effects, so as to avoid deformation of the pressure roller due to excessive pressure.
3. Pay attention to the relationship between machine speed, temperature and pressure and embossing effect. Generally speaking, the embossing effect is relatively good when the machine speed is slow, the temperature is high and the pressure is high, but it must be moderate, otherwise, it will affect the embossing quality of the product. For typesetting of materials with high tightness and good stiffness, the machine pressure can be appropriately larger.
4. To prevent the pressure roller from deforming, the pressure roller must be separated from the pressure when the machine is shut down for a long time. The operating procedure is: first loosen the oil circuit control valve to separate the pressure roller from the pattern roller RIP, and then shut down.
5. When replacing the pattern roller for different patterns, first loosen the 6 screws on the roller support beam, remove the transmission chain and the heating tube on the pattern roller, and then remove the upper part of the bearing seat at both ends of the pattern roller, and then use a belt or a soft and tough rope to cover the roller and lift it up in a balanced manner. During the disassembly process, quality control should be performed. Do not use iron rollers or other hard objects to pry, pad and hit the surface of the pattern roller to prevent damage to the roller texture.
6. If the pressure roller is obviously worn and deformed, it can be ground to achieve the required centricity for uniform pressure.
7. During the use of the equipment, attention should be paid to regularly filling the lubricating oil equipment. Good lubrication can improve the performance and life of the embossing machine and ensure the embossing quality of the product.
