1. Accurately calculate the internal dimensions of the package
The internal dimensions of any commodity package must be determined based on the maximum external dimensions of the packaged commodity, and the different characteristics of the packaged commodity should also be understood. Since the shapes, varieties, and properties of various commodities are different, the requirements for packaging are also different.
The calculation method of the internal dimensions of a single commodity package is:
Length = maximum external length of the commodity + length tolerance coefficient
Width = maximum external width of the commodity + width tolerance coefficient
Height = maximum external height of the commodity + height tolerance coefficient
The calculation method of the internal dimensions of multiple commodity packages is:
Internal specifications = (single package external dimensions x number of arrangements) + tolerance coefficient + arrangement coefficient
2. Tolerance coefficient selection
The tolerance coefficient is a data determined by factors such as paper thickness, longitudinal and transverse directions, and the internal connection of the packaging box. In general, the tolerance coefficient of length and width is 3-5mm; the tolerance coefficient of height is larger.
When selecting the tolerance coefficient, it is necessary to consider comprehensively. In addition to the elasticity of paper, different products should have different requirements. For example, for compressible items such as clothing, the tolerance coefficient can be smaller; for incompressible items such as glassware, instruments, and food, the tolerance coefficient should be larger.
3. Determination of specifications
The connection between the selection of packaging size and the internal structure is related to whether the structure of the box is reasonable after it is formed, and whether the shape is straight, beautiful, and solemn.
After the internal specifications of packaging boxes, cans, tubes and other containers are determined, the external specifications can be selected based on the internal dimensions. The length, width, and height of the packaging external dimensions are respectively greater than the thickness of one or two layers of paper material of the internal length, width, and height.
After the specifications of each part of the packaging box are determined, the method of sample trial assembly can be adopted. After calculating and checking the rationality, beauty, and artistry of the specifications, the formal plate making can be carried out.
