The products processed by die-cutting and creasing technology are of the following types:
(1) Three-dimensional products. After die-cutting and creasing, cardboard and paperboard materials are processed by hand or by box-making equipment to form various shapes of molded paper packaging boxes or decorations, such as cylindrical, rectangular, square, pyramidal, polygonal and other three-dimensional paper boxes. This type of three-dimensional paper packaging box is widely used in the packaging of various foods, medicines, shoes and hats, electrical appliances, instruments and other commodities. The advantages of three-dimensional paper boxes are that they are beautiful in shape, can effectively protect commodities, and play a role in preventing pressure and shock for the products in the packaging box. However, after the three-dimensional paper boxes are formed, they are large in size and inconvenient to transport and store.
(2) Folding products. After die-cutting and creasing, paper or other products are formed by hand or by machine to form various shapes of packaging boxes. These boxes can be opened or folded, and are suitable for the needs of automatic packaging by packaging machinery. The advantages of folding boxes are that they are easy to process, have high output, and have small volume after folding, which is convenient for storage and transportation. However, the shape of the folding box is simple and only suitable for conventional products, while special-shaped boxes are generally not suitable for making folding boxes.
(3) Flat products. Trademarks and hangtags of various types, specifications, structures, shapes (such as square, rectangular, triangular, polygonal, plum blossom, oval and other special shapes) can be processed by die-cutting and creasing. Its characteristics are flatness, single use, and wide applicability.
(4) Book cover. After creasing and bonding with the book core, the book cover can be flat, solid, beautiful and durable.
